Aeronautics discovery day

President Philippe VIDAL and all the elected officials of the Béziers Cap d'Agde Hérault Occitanie Airport Pole Mixed Union are delighted with the organization by the Montpellier Academy of a Day of discovery of professions and sectors in the field of aeronautics and space, Thursday November 16, 2023 at Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport.
This event brings together aeronautics and space professionals with middle and high school students as well as BIA winners and parents of students from the Hérault Department. It is, in fact, a matter of encouraging young people and their parents to turn their eyes towards the very numerous jobs in this field, which necessarily involves the development of a culture, an awareness, a knowledge professions, jobs and training in aeronautics and space.

A varied program will be offered to more than 400 students, who have registered from different schools in the Department, and will thus be able to discover throughout the day:
– The airport site including an exhibition of aircraft on the tarmac;
– The podiums of the armed forces (Navy, Army and Air and Space Force);
– A visit to the Béziers Cap d'Agde Aeroclub where a stand of the Hérault Departmental Aeromodeling Committee will be held;
– Workshops: Planète sciences – Air Emploi Formation;
- Conferences ;
– A career forum with the presence of ESMA Airways Aviation, ENAC and the Montpellier University Space Center.

This Discovery Day will end with the presentation of the Aeronautical Initiation Certificate to middle and high school students from the Hérault Department, from 16:00 p.m. in the reception hall of Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport.
